Here are some pictures I took once the blocks were laid out.
It is a great lap size, and I'm excited to get this finished and crossed off the list. I've had this fabric for nearly 2 years, so it feels good to be using my stash as well.
While I was sewing yesterday I also had a visitor out my window:
This little lady sat with me for nearly an hour, just content to sit and look around. I did wonder where her mate was though, it's not often that you see a female Cardinal all alone. Anyway, I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'll hopefully have more progress to report soon.
Lovely quilt!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYour quilt is looking really great!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am excited to see it come together!
DeleteCristina -- love your WIP -- the fabric is beautiful and your piecing is perfect!!
ReplyDeleteI think your visitor is actually a Male House Finch... or a Male Purple Finch... I have a hard time and often mix those two up... Thanks for sharing the beautiful picture of him.

Thanks! You're right about the bird. I just realized that the head is different from a cardinal.
DeleteWhat an amazing quilt...I never liked that block, but with those fabric choices is incredible!
ReplyDeleteI now know what to do with my "mama said" dictionary print! Use it in the corners as the background fabric....
I'm so glad you like it! It's always fun to share ideas, that's what makes this art so great!
